Due to the high false-negative rate of molecular test and the difficulty in distinguishing COVID-19 from other pneumonia by the CT images alone, leveraging the artificial intelligence technology maybe the solution so as to diagnose COVID-19 accurately and efficiently based on a large amount of clinical data and professional perceptions on CT and epidemiology.
Yesterday, a multilateral online meeting was organized with the participations of MinFound, as the CT solution provider, Tencent healthcare, as the algorithm co-designer, Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University which managed the biggest makeshift hospital in Wuhan in Feb and Russian`s chief epidemiologist who is expected to bring info from infected Russian cases, aiming to share the perceptions on this project from each perspective and discuss how to efficiently kick off this project.
