A suspected case with fever symptom was being scanned in MinFound Ark Series mobile cabin CT on 28th May in one of major hospitals in

Nanjing who was later confirmed COVID19 negative upon the combination tests results of chest CT scan and RT-PCR.

As the domestic new confirmed cases of COVID19 dropped sharply to below 100 in March and afterwards stays at a stable level since, the government lifts the lockdown policy that have been imposed to curb the spread of COVID19 for approximately three months.

With the commonly agreed perception that COVID19 is much likely to linger around for longer time in the absence of effective vaccine, the nationwide re-opening came with rigorous and cautious strategies in an effort to balance public health and slumping economy.

People are required to wear face mask, keep social distance and verify their health status by showing the QR code on their phones whose color varies with the risks of COVID19 infection when they set foot in public places such as restaurants, shopping malls, workplaces and hospitals.

There are more strict measures in place in hospitals where a cluster of infection is more likely to mount as a result of high exposure risk from checkup and surgery and the busy influx. One of measures stands out: an independent mobile cabin CT unit is widely employed in the major hospitals in big cities to provide chest CT scan for people with suspected symptoms of COVID19 and inpatient before admission to hospitals as a mandatory precaution measure, and therefore the CT scanners inside hospitals can still serve for daily regular use. In China, especially in reputable hospitals, even in normal situations, patients have to line up in the appointment system for 1-2 weeks to finally get CT or MRI scans.
